What a title is
A title is the vehicle’s paperwork from a US auction (Copart or IAAI). It is not the car’s listing name — it is the ownership and condition document. On the lot you will see it as text, for example Original (West Virginia).
The same kind of paperwork can appear under different names: Original, Clean Title, Salvage, Bill of Sale, and others. For each name GetCars says whether we recommend the car, recommend checking it, or do not recommend it.

Three statuses
- GetCars recommends — ordinary valid paperwork (Original, Clean, Clear) or salvage / MSO. Export from the US is possible. Registration in Czechia is normally possible, always subject to the car’s technical fitness.
- GetCars recommends checking — the car was rebuilt, has a water record, paperwork for parts / export only, missing documents, a foreign document, or a name we cannot read clearly. Walk it through with us before you bid.
- GetCars does not recommend — there is only an auction receipt instead of a title, or an unresolved lien. The car cannot leave the US on that paperwork.

A state in parentheses, such as Original (Texas), does not change the badge — we score the type of document, not the state.
