Where to find it

After sign-in open My account in the customer zone: dashboard / account. There are three parts: General (contact and billing), Notifications, and Security. This article is contact and billing. Password and account deletion are in security.

Contact

Save first name, last name and phone. Email is read-only — you sign in with it and cannot edit it here.

The contact name does not have to match the billing name. Contracts and invoices use billing details.

Billing: person and company at once

You can fill in personal and company blocks. At the top you choose the default for invoices:

• Individual — documents in your name.
• Company — documents in the company’s name.

The default set must be complete. You may keep the other set filled in for later, but the deposit contract is drawn from the default.

Individual — required fields

• full name,
• street and number,
• city,
• postal code,
• country.

Company — required fields

• company name,
• street and number, city, postal code, country,
• company ID or VAT ID (one is enough; both is better).

For Czech companies enter the 8-digit IČO and use Load from ARES. We fill in name and address when we find the company. If ARES does not find it, check the ID or type the details yourself.

We suggest addresses as you type. If a suggestion is wrong, type it manually.

Why billing matters

The deposit (your bidding security) is tied to the import intermediation contract. The contract needs your billing details. If something is missing, the deposit flow shows Complete your billing details and a link here.

We use the same details on import invoices. A wrong address or company ID means credit notes and delay.

Until billing is complete you also cannot submit the homologation form.

Bidding on higher-risk vehicles

In the account you see whether you may bid on cars GetCars does not recommend. You cannot turn this on yourself. If you need it, write to us. Full rules: recommendations and bidding.

In short:

• GetCars recommends — bid and buy now go through immediately.
• GetCars recommends checking — we always approve the request first.
• GetCars does not recommend — without permission on the account you cannot bid. With permission you can send a request, and we still approve it.

Tips

• Check the default set once more before you send a deposit.
• Companies: IČO with 8 digits, no spaces.
• If you live in Slovakia, the country in billing must match — documents depend on it.
