What GetCars does

GetCars helps you buy a car (or motorcycle) in the USA and import it to the Czech Republic or Slovakia. You do not need your own US auction account, and you do not have to run shipping, customs, or homologation yourself. You choose a vehicle, place a deposit, bid or buy, and follow the journey in your customer dashboard.

The public entry hub is the vehicle offer. From there you go to:

  1. Stock vehicles CZ — cars ready for collection in the Czech Republic.
  2. Stock vehicles USA — cars in the States, often with import included in the price.
  3. Vehicle homologation — modifications, STK and registration even for a car imported another way.
  4. USA vehicle auctions — live Copart and IAAI lots.
  5. NPA motorcycle auctions — motorcycles and other NPA lots.

Three main ways to get a vehicle:

  1. US auctions (Copart, IAAI and similar) — browse live lots, place a prebid or buy now. After you win, we open a business case and import the car. Guide: how to search auctions.
  2. Stock vehicles — cars we already have in the Czech Republic, in the USA, or from NPA auctions. Some can be bought straight away; others start with an inquiry. Guide: stock.
  3. Homologation and registration — even if the car arrived another way, we can prepare lights, the technical inspection (STK), and registration. Guide: homologation.

On the website you can first estimate import cost in the calculator. Those figures are indicative. Binding amounts are the invoices in your account.

What your account can (and cannot) do

After you register you get a customer dashboard. There you manage:

  • contact and billing details,
  • your deposit and bidding power,
  • bids and buy-now requests,
  • watched vehicles — watchlist and saved searches,
  • inquiries,
  • business cases and shipping,
  • invoices,
  • notifications and your password.

The account is not a dealer portal and not a Copart/IAAI login. You bid through GetCars. We enter the bid at the auction for you, within your plan limits and our approval rules.

One email equals one account. You cannot change the email later. If you need a different address, contact us.

How it usually works

A typical auction purchase:

  1. Register and confirm your email — account and sign-in.
  2. Fill in billing (person or company) — profile.
  3. Place a deposit and accept the contract — deposits.
  4. Find a car and read our recommendation — auctions and recommendations.
  5. Bid or request a purchase — bidding and buy now.
  6. After you win, follow import in the business case, pay invoices, and take delivery.

Without complete billing you cannot sign the deposit contract. Without a paid deposit you cannot bid or buy now from auction.

Language and country

The site is Czech and English. Switch language in the header — the path stays the same except /cs/ or /en/. We send notifications in the language on your account.

How to use this help centre
